It's not supposed to snow like this, not here. Our drafty old house can't handle this. The furnace has been running non-stop since last Sunday and we still need space heaters to get the chill out. With the furnace on all night and no space heaters on the downstairs drops to 60 degrees. I'm not looking forward to the gas and electric bills, yikes! I'd like to know how many plows this city has, I'd guess five.
I'm here with three of the four. The CEO went out to the store. The CEO is back! Thank God.

We can't possibly have 5 plows. My guess is two. I have been trapped downtown since Sunday and the roads are still a foot deep. There has been no plow anywhere near the downtown area.
My hope is I can get out today. If I have to walk I will. The charm of the Governor hotel wore off real quick. I'm ready for my little house.
Our heat bills are going to kill us all......
See you on Christmas Eve if I can get there!

I don't actually think we have any plows; when you see them on the news it is borrowed stock footage from another city.
I never thought I would be so excited to go to Cleveland, but 10 days straight with one 2-hr break from the kids is enough for me to long for the home of rock n' roll (they have plows). (And salt trucks.)
Thanks for the snow day pics you sent! The Kid looks so happy!! I guess this is her storm of '78! Although not being able to warm up the house is bad.
I was just thinking about all the fun I had out there last year at this time--and was wondering if you drove the kids down the street with all the lights and displays--but it sounds like you're not driving much of anywhere!
We finished up late this year--we were planning on leaving for Chicago today but ice stopped us. We'll be taking off tomorrow.
Well, I hope you all keep warm!
love you,
Ka
