Can you really deny these great lyrics?
"You know that chick that used to dance a lot
Every night she'd be on the floor shaking what she'd got
Man when I tell you she was cool, she was red hot
I mean she was steaming
And that time over at Johnny's place
Well this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face
Man we just fell about the place
If that chick don't want to know, forget her"
I don't know how old I was when I heard this song but for some reason I connected with it and I became a Rock and Roll fan for life.

So, "The Boys Are Back In Town" is the song that you made you a rock n roll fan for life? That's kind of hilarious. Watch out Red Gate Lane T-C is back in town!
My earliest music memories (okay besides Free to Be You and Me--what brilliance), my first rock memories were actually listening to mom's Elvis records, the Beatles, and T-C's "The Junk Food Junkie."
Also, I remember someone and his friends writing LOLA on their fingers and, what? singing to their 7th grade English Prof? "My my, hey hey, rock n roll is here to stay."
love, Ka
Nice! That is a great song. I think my earliest memories of a true "rock" song was Grand Funk Railroad "we're an american band" I still have the 45.It is transparant yellow. Very cool.
But my very first puchase of music was Cher's "halfbreed". I remember the day I bought it. I still have that 45 too. Mint condition.
I have all my 45's. Someday we need to find a record player and bust em out.

Mine was "Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown" which would come on the radio and my brother and I, sitting in the back seat of my dad's T-Top Thunderbird (Rust sparkly exterior with tan leather seats- ah, the '70s) would scream the chorus.
