Visitors Like Screens.

My In-Laws are in town, they are following a recent visit from my parents, who followed the CEO's cousin, who followed her sister. Every time a new visitor comes the kid has to give up her mattress and sleep on the air mattress. This time she even had to give up her bed frame. She's not happy about this and is complaining that she like to sleep high not low on the floor. The poor kid has probably spent six weeks on an air mattress.

It seems that a consistent complaint from all the visitors is that we have no screens on our windows. It bothers the CEO something awful. Perhaps the screens are suffering from the same fate that my former long hair suffered from. The more my family nagged me about it the more stubborn I was about keeping it long.

I don't believe I could ever complain about a lack of screens on someones windows while I am visiting. I would be too busy being grateful that someone gave up their bed for me.

I have to say, currently we have two windows without screens and it's awful. I mean, what's better than a nice breeze...the fresh air gives the house a little je nais se quai (okay, I don't know any french and I just tried the "sound it out" kindergarten method...forgive me).

I guess the flip side of a guest not complaining is a host knowing his / her guests are uncomfortable. Some things you just can't do anything about...but maybe it's time to invest in a few screens. (Or, if this were our house: invest in the time it would take to haul them from the basement and stick them in the windows).

My guess is no one was complaining - it was more of a safety concern. I'm sure the guests are grateful.

Oh no, they were complaining right out loud. They even begged for us to call for an installation estimate, which I did. It was nice to feel validated. The Screen Guy comes in two weeks. Goodbye, flies! Goodbye, bees! Goodbye Z climbing out the front window!

Oh, so you've been wanting screens. Nice. You should see how you can work your visitors to other project advantages.
