I bought a crockpot last year. I've probably used it 5 times. So far nothing tastes that great. Everything is kind of overcooked and too boiled tasting. It seems I could get the same results by just letting something cook on the range on low heat. Anyhow, it does help to have this thing on the nights The CEO works, I set it up in the morning and when I get in from work dinner is ready. So I keep looking for a worthwhile recipe. The problem is I just dropped the damn thing and the ceramic liner smashed to pieces. They don't sell a replacement on crockpot.com. What the hell.
Why do I expect anyone to read this blog when it has come to this.
I did find a great link though. You've got to check this spoof trailer out.

Well, my CEOther is a big fan of the crock pot and there was no question that it was moving with us when we moved--despite the fact that it hasn't been used in 2 or 3 years. We do have a friend who is in love with the crockpot and uses it almost nightly--she uses a crock pot recipe book...maybe you should look into that.
Our new place has fancy new appliances (because our landlord used to live here). Right now we're really crazy about the broiler--we just throw some chopped veggies in a glass pan with some oil and voila! nice tender, roasty veggies in short order!
Keep on cookin' (in the kitchen and on the blog)! love, Ka
