The rock.

I'm at the rock for my Grandfather's wake and funeral. It's a sad occurrence yet he lived a wonderfully long life and he got to know his great granddaughter and was well aware of the arrival of Z and even had a picture of her at the hospital with him. That makes me very happy.

The CEO is home with the two kids. Luckily her sister came out to visit and she will be helping out a lot. There has not been much sleeping going on lately. Z is only 13 days old so she's up every two hours to eat.

I went to bed (on the potato bed) at 10 PM woke up at 9 PM. Fantastic.

I owe the CEO a night or two of uninterrupted sleep big time.

It was nice to see everyone at the Rock even on--or especially on--such a sad occasion.

My husband and I just read about this neat Navajo tradition that I thought the blog readers would appreciate. It's a celebration of a baby's first laugh. Whoever makes the baby laugh first provides a basket of food, breads, cookies, etc. The person holds both the baby and the basket as visitors come to see the baby. Each visitor chooses something to take from the basket with the belief that this will help the baby to be a kind and generous person.

nice day all,
